I am having a fantastic weekend! One of my very very best friends from university days is visiting me from Cologne, and we have not seen each other in over two years. I was like a little child waiting for him at the train station and as hundreds of people poured out of the train, I did one of those rapid eye-scanning-checks through each face to see which pair of eyes belonged to my friend. After eye-scanning no less than what seemed like a hundred passengers, our eyes met, he dropped his bags and I spontaneously ran into his arms!
We have been friends for about 15 years have been able to maintain a wonderfully real, pure and close friendship. A couple of years ago a little girl asked me what it meant to have a good friend, and as she posed this question I just looked at her and smiled, because this is such a “me” question.
