I spent a very wonderful and relaxing transition from 2012 into 2013, enjoying Rumi poems next to the dancing fire in the fireplace, and welcoming the new year with open arms. I made some kelp noodles as my first course; a rarity which I found for very first time in my supermarket the week before. I purchased them and decided to give them a try! Here is a simple recipe, which I made yielding a most lovely, nutty, creamy, crunchy and completely satisfying meal. To accompany the recipe, I am sending you a translation(s) of one of my favourite Rumi poems for you to ponder.
Rumi
The people of this world are like the three butterflies
in front of a candle’s flame.
The first one went closer and said:
I know about love.
The second one touched the flame
lightly with his wings and said:
I know how love’s fire can burn.
The third one threw himself into the heart of the flame
