He then asked if I could give him a call and I most certainly and promptly complied. I dialed that number so quickly and we chatted for quite a while, a time permitted, as he was at work. We did a fast rewind of our past-speedily skimming through the outer surface of our lives, just barely skimming over the basics.

I never ever kept in touch because quite honestly, it was too painful for me. However, I always had this little boy in my head, and the memory of my little friendship is one which I have held onto tightly and fondly throughout the years. Perhaps because I spent my life moving around so often, my way of coping was to hold onto the beautiful experiences I shared in my life with others. I have up until recently NOT at all been a Facebook fan! In fact, I told myself over and over again that I would never open an account. I had always claimed that Facebook was not my world and I was going to stay away from it. It was only due to a large number of requests and missed invitations as most of my friend all have accounts, and were no longer using email that I decided to open an account. I swore to myself that I would use it solely for the purposes of responding to whatever invites I had received.
